This trip takes you away from the busy city and into the mountains, where you can enjoy fresh air, beautiful forests, local food, and the simple lifestyle of the Karen community.
DAY 1 Chiang Mai → Waterfall → Karen Village Camp
7:00 AM – Hotel Pick-up
Your adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Chiang Mai at 7:00 AM. We will drive from the city toward the mountains. Along the way, we will stop at a local gas station for a short break. There is a **7-Eleven and restroom facilities**, so you can use the bathroom, buy drinks or snacks, and take care of any personal needs before continuing the journey. The drive to the trekking starting point takes approximately **1.5 hours**.
9:00 AM – Meet Your Local Guide
We will arrive at the trekking starting point around 9:00 AM. Here, you will meet your **local trekking guide**, who will accompany you throughout the journey. The starting point is also a small local area with shops where you can buy snacks, drinks, or try some local food before beginning the trek.
9:00 AM – Start Trekking
We begin our trek through the mountain forest. The first part of the trek takes approximately **2 hours**. Along the way, you will experience the peaceful atmosphere of the forest, fresh mountain air, and beautiful natural surroundings. Your local guide will also introduce you to the local environment and share stories about the forest and the traditional way of life of the Karen people.
Around 11:00 AM – Waterfall & Lunch
After approximately two hours of trekking, we will reach a beautiful natural waterfall. Here, you can take a break and enjoy a local lunch surrounded by nature. After lunch, you will have free time to **swim, relax, take photos, or simply enjoy the peaceful sound of the waterfall**.
Afternoon – Trek to the Camp
After relaxing at the waterfall, we continue our trek deeper into the mountains. The afternoon trek takes approximately **4 hours** as we make our way toward the Karen village camp. This section of the trek allows you to experience the forest more deeply, with mountain views, streams, and a peaceful natural atmosphere.
Evening – Karen Village & Local Dinner
In the evening, we arrive at the **Karen village camp**, where we will spend the night. Dinner will be prepared together using local ingredients. You are welcome to **join the cooking, learn about local food, or simply relax and enjoy the atmosphere of the village**. Tonight, you will stay overnight in a simple local camp surrounded by the mountains and forest. **Overnight: Karen Village Camp**
DAY 2 Karen Village → Forest Trekking → Waterfall → Another Karen Village
8:00 AM – Breakfast
Wake up and enjoy a simple local breakfast at the village. Take some time to enjoy the peaceful morning atmosphere before continuing the adventure.
9:00 AM – Continue Trekking
After breakfast, we start trekking toward another Karen village. The trail takes us deeper into the forest, where you can experience the natural beauty of the mountains away from the city. Along the way, we will pass **small streams and waterfalls**, giving you plenty of opportunities to stop, enjoy the scenery, and take photos.
12:00 PM – Lunch in the Forest
We will stop in the forest for a local lunch. Enjoy a freshly prepared meal surrounded by trees and the sounds of nature. After lunch, we continue our trek toward the next Karen village.
Afternoon – Arrive at the Next Karen Village
In the afternoon, we arrive at another Karen community. This gives you the opportunity to experience a different part of the local mountain lifestyle and learn more about the community and its connection with the surrounding forest.
Evening – Local Cooking Experience
Just like the first night, we will prepare dinner together. You can join the cooking activity, learn how local food is prepared, and spend time with the local community. After dinner, relax and enjoy a peaceful evening in the mountains. **Overnight: Karen Village**
DAY 3 Karen Village → Elephant Experience → Bamboo Rafting → Chiang Mai
Morning – Final Trekking
After breakfast, we begin our final trek. Today’s walk takes approximately **3 hours**, passing through the mountain landscape and local villages. This is your final opportunity to enjoy the peaceful forest, fresh mountain air, and beautiful scenery before leaving the mountains.
Late Morning – Return by Local Vehicle
After completing the trek, we will take a local vehicle down from the mountain. We will stop for lunch near the trekking starting point before continuing to the next part of our adventure.
1:00 PM – Elephant Experience
In the afternoon, we continue to a local elephant camp. Here, you will have the opportunity to spend time with the elephants and learn more about these amazing animals and their relationship with the local community.
Afternoon – Bamboo Rafting
After the elephant experience, it’s time for another adventure! We will enjoy a **bamboo rafting experience** along the river. Relax and enjoy the peaceful scenery as the raft slowly travels through the countryside.
It is a great way to finish the adventure and enjoy nature from a different perspective.
After Rafting – Return to Chiang Mai
After the rafting experience, we begin our journey back to Chiang Mai. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery along the way.
Around 6:00 PM – Hotel Drop-off
We expect to arrive back in Chiang Mai at approximately **6:00 PM**, where we will drop you off at your hotel.
